Justin Timberlake is an award winning household name in the entertainment industry boasting various accolades in television, music, and film industries.

As a young actor, Justin made his first television-acting debut in "The All-New Mickey Mouse Club (1993-4)" program alongside other stars like Britney Spears, Christine Aguilera and Ryan Gosling. His star continued to rise when he joined the NYSNC boy band as singer and dancer, and then became an even bigger act when he went solo in 2002.

Justin Timberlake's motion acting debut may not be that noticeable with early roles in movies like "Alpha Dog (2007)" and "Black Snake Moan (2007)." His most popular movies as lead actor are, according to RottenTomatoes.com, "The Social Network (2010)" and "Friends with Benefits (2011)."

Controversy During the 2004 Super Bowl Halftime Show

After success with his first album, Justified (2002), the famous musician sold over 7 million copies all over the world winning him two Grammy awards in 2004. Amid the glory of the wins, there was controversy when Timberlake accidentally tore off Janet Jackson"s costume at the Super Bowl performance. Dubbed, "Nipplegate," The accident revealed Janet"s bare breast and elicited sharp reactions from all quarters.

The same controversy was revived in 2018 when Timberlake got another Super Bowl gig. Well before the gig, Janet"s fans took to social media with the #JusticeForJanet as they felt the musician took the burden for the fallout in the 2004 Super Bowl performance. Janet had subsequently been banned from performing at the Super Bowl and the fact that Justin was given another chance angered Janet"s legion of fans.

Despite the renewed controversy, the rumour claiming that Timberlake was planning to perform with a hologram of Prince sparked even more backlash. Prince's fans took to social media stating that the late artist was against special effects in music and doing so was going against his wishes.

Currently, Justin Timberlake is promoting his album "Man of the Woods", with the tour (started on March 13^th 2018 in Toronto) ending on February 24^th 2019 in Sacramento. He released his book, Hindsight & All the Things I Can"t See in Front of Me on October 30, 2018.
